On Saturday, we flagged that numerous charts were sitting at or close to critical levels (“MI2 Chart point: What to Watch on Monday”, 12th Apr). In particular, what piqued our attention were the relative charts between stocks and precious metals. They suggested that equities were about to underperform but had yet to flag whether the move would be “nice” or “nasty”.
