MI2 Partners Press Kit

MACRO INTELLIGENCE 2 PARTNERS is an independent macroeconomic research firm founded in 2011 by Julian Brigden and Gretchen Brigden. MI2 is owned by the founders. We provide research to clients across the globe, mainly in G7 countries.

Our research is for decision-makers – hedge fund managers, asset allocators, family offices, individual investors, and those who need leading research on where the market is going. Our research team integrates long-term market insights with tactical trading strategies, technical and uniquely personalized delivery for investors.

With over 150 years of market experience, the MI2 research team has made our name through comprehensive market coverage, timely calls, and a proven track record. The team brings a unique perspective to the research process. Members have run sales desks, founded and managed hedge funds and served on the Bank of England.

OUR OFFERINGS

MI2 INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH  Our comprehensive product with the broadest macro coverage for investors with access to institutional trading accounts. Our work is distinguished by macro-focused market research pinpointing undetected trends in tradable markets – equities, fixed income, FX, and commodities. We deliver published research via a web portal through written reports, video presentations, as well as group and individual presentations and conference calls with our research team. We post when we have something to say and not on a set schedule. The mixture and timing of pieces are market-dependent, but we publish approximately eight times a month.

Monthly Research Reports

  • Strategic Research Reports – our core offering seeks to pull together and clearly explain current global macroeconomic markets to aid our client’s decision-making process for better positioning. They are longer pieces that walk through crucial market inflection points, focusing on what has changed and why.
  • MI2 Trader Reports and MI2 Chart Points – the focused complement to our Strategic Research Reports and are concisely written with a call to action based on current market activity. We are heavy graphic users to illustrate concepts clearly and, in some cases, show the direction of an indicator.
  • Weekly Research Recaps – A brief recap of what we published the week prior with excerpts and links to each publication.
  • Japan Update – our market commentary piece is uniquely sourced from Japanese language publications and published 10-15 times monthly.
  • Any additional content we produce, including podcasts & videos.

 Research Team Access

Unlike our Institutional product, it is posted on a set schedule with five reports a month. We contribute to Real Vision and do not have an equity relationship with either Real Vision or GMI. More information about the product can be found here.
